MICRONEEDLING

Microneedling, also known as collagen induction therapy, mimics the effects of fractional laser by generating micro-punctures in the skin.

This controlled wound-healing response in the deep layers of the skin stimulates the collagen and results in a smoother, more youthful appearance. The micro punctures create a controlled injury underneath the surface of the skin, which then sends a “wake up call” to the collagen to start producing more. The skin plumps and thickens in response to this. Microneedling aims to improve mild to moderate acne scarring, fine lines and wrinkles, rough skin texture, decreases pore size, and tightens lax skin.

How does it work?

The skincare provider holds a pen-like device with a sterile, disposable tip housing tiny needles to pierce the skin. Most people experience redness and slight swelling post-treatment that can last up to 48 hours. This suits all skin types and colors with no risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.

Total Treatment Time: 45 minutes.

Sessions: Typically, three sessions spaced four weeks apart are performed.

Results: This treatment can be performed on all body parts, including the face and neck. It helps improve:

  • Sun damage (sun spots)
